Grace McNamara Inc. and TODL.com announce the Green Design Pavilion
at the 2008 International Window Coverings EXPO

Grace McNamara, president of Grace McNamara Inc. (GMI) and Stacey Tiveron, CEO of TODL.com (Trade Only Design Library) announce the debut of the Green Design Pavilion, the newest destination at the International Window Coverings EXPO (IWCE), held March 26–29, 2008, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.

As American consumers’ heightened awareness of environmental issues and interest in eco-friendly and sustainable products continues to grow exponentially, design professionals are working to educate themselves on sustainable design and related product options in order to help guide their consumer clients through the labyrinth called “Green Design”.

Answering design professionals’ desire to understand how they can start integrating green design concepts and products into current projects while educating themselves on the many facets of eco-friendly design, industry leaders Grace McNamara and Stacey Tiveron decided to create the Green Design Pavilion for the attendees of IWCE in 2008—the first of its kind in the window-fashions industry.

Together, both companies are forging new territory that will help their customers navigate the complexities of “Green”. The 50x30-square-foot Green Design Pavilion is meant to simplify some of the complexities surrounding green design and demystify the green-design education process. It will be entirely furnished and feature eco-friendly products for all areas of residential design with an emphasis on window fashions. The Green Design Pavilion will also provide both attendees and manufacturers with resources and information about eco-friendly products, resources for immediate specification, educational information and options, associations, and more.

“We know that green design is not a fad or a trend, but a lifestyle and as an industry, we need to rethink our business models to reflect that,” says Grace McNamara. “We are extremely excited to partner with another female-owned farsighted company like TODL. The design landscape is changing around us. We recognize that and are redoubling our efforts to offer these opportunities to our audience.”

Our goal along with GMI is to encourage the residential design industry, especially window fashions, to take the green movement seriously.”
