TODL Celebrates 10 Years

A big celebration is happening at TODL, and from all fronts, there's a lot to celebrate. This year marks a decade in business with more than 35,000 trade professionals in membership and close to 1,000 manufacturers listing products. Currently, TODL buyers are logging in and viewing more than 500,000 product images every week in the password-protected product research library.

"It has been a decade to remember" says TODL's Founder and CEO Stacey Tiveron. "When we started in 1997, one out of every three or four designers had a computer in their office and less than half of those had Internet connections. Fast forward to today and virtually everyone in our industry is dependent on computers and the Internet for their day-to-day business. It’s been amazing to watch such an evolution of an industry and I'm proud of TODL's accomplishments and contributions to this transformative period."

TODL is a trade only product library that gives industry buyers (interior designers, architects, facility managers, stocking retailers, etc.) the ability to research products for their projects instantly. Each product on TODL has its own specification page with installation or presentation-size product images, finishes, line drawings, options, sizes, pricing and lead times which vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. These separate product listings allow professional buyers to search at the product level and get results that allow them to view multiple product options from several different manufacturers simultaneously.

Easy Being Green

TODL's most recent addition was the launch of TODL Green, a division of TODL.com. "We're thrilled with the response to and use of TODL Green. Both our manufacturers and designers are asking relevant questions and searching for solutions that they can use immediately. Our goal with TODL Green is to provide those solutions" said Jessica Alexander, VP of TODL.com. "A single location where professional buyers can find all types of green products simply and efficiently is TODL's first step in doing our part to ensure our future generations inherit a healthy planet."

Speaking of the Next Generation

TODL is currently working on the upcoming launch of TODL Generation V, set for release in the first quarter of 2008. The entire site - from the database itself to the look, feel and navigation of the front end are being completely overhauled for faster and more comprehensive searches and results. In addition, several new exciting features and tools for both designers and manufacturers are being planned for simultaneous release.
